Our BBQ was a huge success! Despite being below 0 degrees AND snowing outside, we still sold out (over 240 hamburgers)!
Thanks to all who came out and helped!

Our table at the U of A Open House garnered a lot of interest from people passing by. Lots of people were asking questions about Computer Engineering and how it differs from Computer Science and others were wondering about our demo.
We had an infrared system set up where you could put on a pair of glasses and move around and the scene on a screen in front of you would adjust according to which direction you were looking, how close you were to it, whether you were crouching or not, and so on. All done with 2 little IR emitters and a Nintendo Wii romote!
Thanks to all who came out to help!

What Is Computer Engineering?
Computer Engineers aren't just programmers. We're designers. We're developers. We're architects. We are many things.
The easy way to differentiate between Computer Scientists and Computer Engineers is this:
- Computer Scientists: They are programmers, systems administrators and network specialists.
- Computer Engineers: We are the people who design systems, architect system code, integrate software and hardware and manage teams of developers.
What kind of classes will you be taking in Computer Engineering? Click here to see the U of A's course listings (for all branches of CompE).
Are you a first year whose curious about CompE? Stop by our club office (down the ESS hallway in ETLC Level 2), say hi and ask any questions you may have!
